From August 1, 2025, Polish employers must submit a copy of the employment contract with any foreign national hired on the basis on a work permit before employment begins.
Key Changes
Currently, employers must submit a copy of contracts with foreign nationals only in case of work authorization under the basis of a declaration on entrusting work to a foreigner.
Submission of the contract must be performed electronically via a digital system before the employment starts.
Exemptions
In case of persons who reside and work in Poland under the basis of a temporary residence permit for work, the EU Blue Card or who are exempted from work authorization, e.g. students, graduates of Polish studies, Ukrainian nationals working under the notification on entrusting work, submission of a copy of a contract is not required.
