AIT Worldwide Logistics has announced the acquisition of Miami-based international freight forwarder GSDMIA, Inc., in a strategic move to bolster its global trade lane capabilities across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
Ray Fennelly, AIT’s Chief Development Officer, who led the acquisition, emphasized GSDMIA’s strong international logistics expertise. The company manages air and ocean freight for a wide range of cargo, including cosmetics packaging, HVAC systems, and cryptocurrency data servers.
“GSDMIA brings a dynamic and customer-centric team to our network,” said Fennelly. “Their experience and approach align perfectly with AIT’s mission to deliver a world-class logistics experience.”
GSDMIA’s co-founders, Wenzel Lewinsky and Joao Rios—who bring nearly six decades of combined global supply chain experience—have joined AIT’s existing Miami office. Lewinsky will serve as Sales Manager, while Rios assumes the role of Station Manager.
“AIT’s global network is a powerful platform for delivering even greater efficiency and value to our customers,” said Lewinsky.
Rios added, “Joining AIT allows us to scale our high-touch, customized logistics solutions with the support of advanced technology, strong carrier partnerships, and greater purchasing power.”
The acquisition reinforces AIT’s commitment to expanding its footprint in key trade regions and enhancing service delivery through strategic growth.
